Client Descriptor
A short, anonymised description of the hiring client used on Job Shares so other agencies can judge fit without identifying the client.
A client descriptor is a short piece of text on a Job Share that describes the hiring client in general terms, for example the sector, stage, size and location, without naming them. It lets responding agencies judge whether the role is a fit while protecting the posting agency's relationship with its client.
Naming the client is not allowed on public listings. The identity is only shared privately once two agencies have agreed to collaborate.
Why it matters
Client descriptors are what let agencies collaborate openly on live vacancies without exposing sensitive commercial relationships.
