Nicola Sales is the Founder and Managing Director of YourRecruit, an independent family run recruitment agency established in Surrey in 1994.

With more than 33 years in recruitment Nicola now works exclusively within Children’s Residential and Supported Accommodation. She recruits across roles including Registered Managers, Deputy Managers, Responsible Individuals, Senior Residential Practitioners and Residential Support Workers.

YourRecruit was one of the earliest agencies to join Recruitment Supplier. Nicola’s main reason for using the platform was to gain additional sourcing support for vacancies where finding suitable candidates through her existing network was proving difficult.

By posting those vacancies as Job Shares Nicola can make them available to other specialist recruitment agencies. She sets the fee available to the agency that supplies the successful candidate while retaining control of her vacancy and the relationship with her client.

Several Recruitment Supplier members have already responded to Nicola’s Job Shares and she has worked closely with them to explore suitable candidates for her vacancies.

YourRecruit is also a Recruitment Supplier Contributor which means Nicola posts at least one qualifying Job Share every three months. She is not only using the platform to gain sourcing support but is actively creating opportunities for other specialist recruiters to earn fees alongside her.

Sourcing support is Nicola’s principal use of Recruitment Supplier although Job Shares can solve a different problem for other agencies.

Recruiters are often given access to vacancies outside their own specialism. They may have a strong relationship with the client but lack the candidate network or market knowledge needed to fill that particular role. Instead of turning the vacancy away or leaving it unfilled they can post it on Recruitment Supplier and work with an agency that specialises in that area.

The posting agency retains its client relationship and agrees the fee available to the collaborating agency. The specialist recruiter gains access to a live vacancy for their candidates and the client benefits from a much stronger chance of making the appointment. If a placement is made both agencies earn revenue.

Nicola also uses Star Candidates to present exceptional people she represents to other members. If another agency has the right vacancy or client relationship they can contact her and explore working together.
